I'm really interested in more info. I run Ubuntu 9.04 I've managed to dump a full image of my iphone with dd, and then , tried to recover videos with foremost tool. Some of vids were successfully recovered, but as you said..big ones seems to be corrupted.. Any update on this news ? Great news.
